Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate Reservoir Data: Gather and analyse well tests, production and pressure data to define reservoir behavior and performance trends.
- Build Simulation Models: Use reservoir simulation tools to model fluid flow and forecast recovery to recommend optimal field plans.
- Prepare Production Forecasts: Develop short‑ and long‑term production forecasts to support planning and management decisions.
- Optimize Recovery Strategies: Suggest recovery techniques, well placements and stimulation options to enhance hydrocarbon extraction efficiency.
- Collaborate With Teams: Coordinate with geologists, drilling, and production engineers to integrate data and execution plans.
- Report Findings: Produce clear reports and technical documentation for stakeholders and field development reviews.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure work follows industry standards, safety policies, and any local regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Experience: 4–10 years in reservoir engineering or related upstream petroleum roles in oil & gas.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Technical Competence: Skilled with reservoir software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and decline curve analysis.
- Project Controls: Able to plan tasks, manage time, and meet engineering project deadlines.
- Leadership: Strong communicator with ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand economic impacts of field plans and how engineering aids business goals.
