Renewable Energy Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan renewable systems: Create and review technical designs for solar, wind and hybrid energy projects according to client and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies: Analyze technical, environmental and economic data to assess project viability and recommend solutions.
• Support implementation: Work with construction and installation teams to guide setup, testing and commissioning of renewable systems.
• Optimize performance: Monitor energy production and efficiency, proposing adjustments to improve system output.
• Ensure compliance: Check that designs and installations meet UAE codes, safety standards and sustainability regulations.
• Prepare technical reports: Document designs, performance results and project progress for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and regulatory bodies to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years in renewable energy design, solar/wind projects or related engineering work in UAE or similar markets.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
• Technical Competence: Skilled in energy system modelling, PV/wind tech and engineering tools (AutoCAD/ETAP).
• Project Controls: Able to manage tasks, budgets, timelines and deliverables independently.
• Leadership Support: Experience working with project teams and guiding technical discussions.
• Commercial Acumen: Understand cost implications, ROI, site selection and energy economics.
