Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Radiation Protection Activities: Implement daily radiation safety measures, control contamination, and track exposure in controlled and high‑risk areas.
  • Monitor Radiation Levels: Measure and record ambient radiation, contamination levels, and personal doses to ensure protection standards are met.
  • Manage Radiologically Controlled Areas: Set up and oversee Radiologically Controlled Areas (RCAs) and enforce access and containment procedures.
  • Support Safety Equipment Use: Maintain and guide use of radiation detectors, personal dosimeters, and protective gear to minimize exposure.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare clear reports of radiation surveys, incidents, and safety activities for internal and regulatory review.
  • Assist Training & Compliance: Help train staff on radiation safety practices and ensure work follows UAE regulatory and company requirements.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Collaborate with operations, HSE, and maintenance teams to resolve radiation‑related issues efficiently.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, or related scientific field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in radiation protection or safety roles, ideally in UAE regulated environments.
  • Technical Competence: Skilled with radiation survey instruments, dosimetry, and contamination control methods.
  • Project Controls: Able to schedule surveys, maintain records, and complete safety documentation on time.
  • Leadership: Works independently, solves safety issues, and guides colleagues on radiation protection practices.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understands how radiation compliance impacts operations, costs, and regulatory obligations.
