Key Responsibilities

  • Measure quantities from construction drawings to create a detailed and accurate project budget, ensure all project work items are properly included, and set strategies to minimise unexpected expenses.
  • Oversee post-contract work, including interim payments, final accounts, variations, claims, and contract correspondence to ensure proper financial control of the project.
  • Manage contracts by drafting, reviewing, and administering them to ensure both parties meet their obligations and process change orders in accordance with contract terms.
  • Track project finances, perform quantity measurements, and evaluations based on project specifications and industry standards, and provide financial oversight throughout each project phase.
  • Play a proactive role in identifying and mitigating financial and project-related risks, from price volatility to regulatory changes, and develop strategies to minimise their impact.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for accurate cost tracking and smooth commercial operations. Track work progress and maintain detailed measurement records.
  • Prepare progress and financial reports showing project status, cost, and performance to assist management in monitoring, controlling budgets, and making informed project decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven work experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial forecasting.
  • Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and proficiency in computer basics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
