Pipeline Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned pipeline sections or projects, coordinate with stakeholders, act as primary technical contact, understand project specifications, anticipate operational risks, and ensure delivery of pipeline systems to agreed standards, codes and timelines.
- Drive project performance through optimized routing, material selection and integrity management strategies, prepare technical proposals, review engineering drawings, ensure cost efficiency, and achieve monthly and quarterly project milestones set by management plus forecasting.
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, HSE and procurement teams to translate project requirements into clear engineering deliverables, track construction progress, and ensure timely, quality execution and regulatory approvals.
- Monitor pipeline performance, analyse pressure data, flow rates and inspection results, prepare weekly and monthly technical reports with actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders and operational trend insights.
- Manage project budgets, contractor documentation and compliance requirements, track procurement schedules, escalate technical discrepancies, and work with finance and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost control and materials coordination.
- Resolve site escalations promptly, coordinate inspection and maintenance resources, propose practical engineering solutions, document corrective actions, and follow up to prevent recurrence through root-cause analysis and integrity assessments.
- Represent the company at technical review meetings, attend client and contractor briefings, support tender documentation and bid submissions, and contribute to strengthening engineering standards and competitive project intelligence.
Requirements
- 3+ years pipeline engineering experience in UAE markets, preferably in oil & gas, utilities or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Petroleum Engineering; professional engineering certifications preferred or equivalent project experience.
- Proficient with engineering software (AutoCAD, CAESAR II or similar), MS Excel and reporting tools for technical analysis skills.
- Proven project controls: managing design timelines, budgets, engineering standards (ASME/API), contractor coordination and risk mitigation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership: mentoring junior engineers, leading site inspections, and managing small technical teams and performance reviews.
- Strong technical and commercial acumen: material selection, stress analysis, contract review, cost estimation, compliance management and project delivery KPIs.
