Key Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications Accurately: Carefully review and prepare prescriptions, ensuring drug strength, dose, and instructions meet legal and clinical guidelines.
- Patient Medication Advice: Provide understandable guidance to patients on how to take medicines, explain side effects, and answer questions.
- Monitor Drug Safety: Check patient medication profiles to prevent harmful interactions or adverse reactions and alert healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, expiry checks, and proper storage conditions to ensure medication safety and availability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow DHA rules, local health laws, and internal pharmacy procedures in all pharmacy activities.
- Recordkeeping & Documentation: Keep accurate patient records, prescription logs, and licensing documentation up to date.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work with doctors, nurses, and clinic staff to support patient treatment plans and care outcomes.
Requirements
- Education & License: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or PharmD and active DHA pharmacist license in Dubai.
- Experience: 2+ years pharmacy practice in hospital or community settings.
- Clinical Competence: Strong knowledge of medications, pharmacology, and safe dispensing practices.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy systems and medical record software.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to guide junior staff and coordinate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication: Clear English communication; Arabic understanding is an advantage.
