Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and design extraction methods by analysing reservoir data to recommend well placement and recovery strategies that maximise production efficiency.
  • Monitor well performance by collecting and evaluating production and pressure data and suggesting corrective actions to improve output.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including drilling, reservoir and production engineers to align field operations and technical plans.
  • Use industry software tools such as Petrel, Eclipse, and reservoir simulation programs to model wells and optimise engineering decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards by following HSE procedures and reporting any risks or deviations during field operations.
  • Support technology adoption by working with teams to implement enhanced recovery methods and new tools to improve field performance.
  • Prepare technical reports detailing design plans, performance analyses, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–8 years in petroleum engineering or oilfield development with hands‑on field involvement.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Technical Competence: Proficient with reservoir simulation, well logging, and petroleum engineering software (Petrel, Eclipse).
  • Project Controls: Able to manage project tasks, schedules, technical documentation, and progress tracking accurately.
  • Leadership: Capable of working in teams, coordinating with specialists, and supporting junior engineers.
