Key Responsibilities
- Support patient care by helping with daily needs like bathing, feeding, mobility, and comfort under nurse supervision, ensuring dignity and safe care.
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration accurately and report notable changes promptly to nurses.
- Assist in clinical tasks including preparing minor procedure supplies, applying dressings, and helping during basic medical procedures under direction.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following hygiene and infection control practices and keeping patient areas tidy.
- Collect and transport specimens such as urine or sputum to labs, ensuring documentation and correct handover.
- Communicate with patients and families explaining simple instructions, answering questions clearly, and offering reassurance when appropriate.
- Report observations and risks by monitoring patients and work areas, raising safety concerns, and supporting safe clinical practice daily.
