Key Responsibilities
- Design & Configure Networks – Plan and set up LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and cloud network components to ensure smooth, secure connectivity for users and applications.
- Install & Manage Devices – Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and related network hardware for optimal operations.
- Monitor & Tune Performance – Track network performance, identify bottlenecks, and adjust configurations to improve speed and reliability.
- Troubleshoot Issues – Quickly diagnose and fix connectivity, security or hardware issues to limit downtime and keep systems running.
- Implement Security Controls – Apply firewall rules, access controls, intrusion prevention, and best practices to protect corporate networks.
- Collaborate with IT Teams – Work with IT, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to support broader system integrations and upgrades.
- Document & Report – Keep clear records of network maps, configs, incidents, and maintenance actions for team reference.
Requirements
- Experience – Minimum 3–5 years in network engineering or similar enterprise networking roles.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Networks.
- Technical Competence – Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network security tools.
- Project Controls – Able to plan, schedule, and manage network deployments and upgrades efficiently.
- Leadership – Guide junior staff, coordinate with teams, and contribute to network strategy planning.
- Commercial Acumen – Understand cost, vendor products, and network tech choices that support business goals.
