Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Tests – Conduct clinical lab tests on blood, tissues, and fluids using standard protocols to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Sample Handling & Processing – Prepare, label, and process patient specimens, ensuring sample quality, traceability, and compliance with lab standards.
  • Quality Control & Assurance – Run quality checks, calibrate analyzers, monitor control charts, and report deviations for ISO‑standard compliance.
  • Equipment Maintenance – Operate, clean, and maintain lab instruments, identify malfunctions, and assist in routine preventive maintenance.
  • Record Keeping & Reporting – Maintain accurate logs of tests, results, calibration, and reagents; report findings clearly for clinical use.
  • Safety & Compliance – Follow biosafety procedures, handle hazardous materials correctly, and observe infection control standards.
  • Team Collaboration – Work with clinicians, nurses, and lab staff to support workflow, communicate issues, and assist in training when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience – 2–5 years in clinical laboratory testing, with UAE hospital or diagnostic lab experience preferred.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Technical Competence – Skilled in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and lab instruments operation.
  • Project Controls – Ability to manage workload, prioritize tests, and meet turnaround times in busy lab settings.
  • Leadership – Support junior staff, follow procedures, and contribute to quality improvement projects.
  • Commercial Acumen – Understand lab cost control, efficient reagent use, and equipment utilization.
