Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and functional specifications to design efficient mechanical systems that comply with industry standards.
• Use software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA to create 3D models and 2D drawings by applying physics and engineering principles.
• Focus on choosing the right materials and mechanical components by considering strength, durability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Create prototypes to test the performance of mechanical components, equipment, and systems by conducting thermal calculations and simulations.
• Review existing mechanical products and modify them on the basis of feedback and testing results, ensuring all meet safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Work closely with other mechanical engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure the smooth implementation and success of the project.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, reports, and other documentation to support manufacturing, compliance, and project tracking.

Requirements

• A candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience working in manufacturing, oil, or the construction industry as a mechanical design engineer.
• Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and CATIA.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design standards.
• Strong skills in communication, coordination, time management, and problem-solving.
• Ability to stay ahead in technology advancement and evolving engineering design trends.
