Key Responsibilities
- Plan & Conduct Audits: Develop annual audit plans, perform internal and external audits, and assess controls, risk, and compliance with standards and company policy.
- Evaluate Internal Controls: Test and review financial, operational, and compliance controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements to management.
- External Audit Execution: Perform statutory/external audit fieldwork in line with IFRS/ISA, evaluate evidence, and verify financial statements for accuracy.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and document organisational risks, assess impacts, and support management in prioritising mitigation actions.
- Report Findings: Draft clear audit reports, summarise outcomes, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Follow‑Up Audits: Track implementation of audit recommendations and report progress on corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with finance, operations, regulators, and external auditors to ensure audit completeness and compliance.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–7 years in internal/external audit or assurance roles with demonstrable results.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Technical Competence: Strong knowledge of audit standards (IIA, ISA), IFRS, risk assessment, and audit tools/software.
- Project Controls: Able to plan, organise audit tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Leadership: Clear communicator with ability to work cross‑functionally and guide junior auditors.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand how audit findings affect business performance, control environment, and compliance outcomes.
