Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Field Investigations: Carry out geological surveys, collect samples, and document field observations to support geological assessments.
  • Analyze Geological Data: Interpret soil, rock, and core sample data using software and laboratory results for project insights.
  • Prepare Technical Reports: Write clear geological reports, borehole logs, maps, and cross‑sections for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Laboratory Testing: Liaise with labs, schedule testing, and review results to validate geological findings.
  • Support Project Teams: Work with engineers, surveyors, and environmental teams to integrate geology into project planning.
  • Maintain Safety & Compliance: Follow health, safety, and environmental standards during fieldwork and data collection.
  • Use Geological Tools: Apply GIS, mapping tools, and geological software to analyze and present data effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–7 years in geological fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting in technical environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geosciences, or related applied science.
  • Technical Competence: Skilled in geological mapping, sampling, logging, and relevant software tools.
  • Project Controls: Able to plan fieldwork, manage data tasks, and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Leadership: Can guide field assistants, coordinate teams, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understand how geological insight affects project cost, timelines, and risk.
