Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans, ensure adherence to national and international safety regulations, and maintain a safe working environment across all construction activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly to prevent accidents or incidents.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and workers to promote safety awareness, provide training, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machinery.
- Monitor safety performance, analyse incident reports, and prepare weekly and monthly safety reports with actionable recommendations for management and regulatory compliance purposes.
- Manage safety documentation, including permits, incident logs, inspection checklists, and compliance records, and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
- Investigate accidents or near misses, coordinate with internal teams and external consultants, propose practical safety improvements, document findings, and follow up to prevent recurrence.
- Represent the company during safety audits, inspections, and regulatory visits, and contribute to safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives on site.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in construction safety management in UAE markets, preferably in commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field; professional safety certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proficient with safety management systems, inspection tools, MS Office, and reporting platforms for incident tracking and compliance documentation.
- Proven ability to manage safety protocols: risk assessments, safety audits, PPE enforcement, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership: training workers, mentoring junior safety staff, and supporting project managers in maintaining safety standards.
- Strong technical acumen: hazard identification, accident investigation, safety reporting, regulatory interpretation, and site compliance metrics.
