Key Responsibilities

  • As a Biomedical Scientist, you will carry out laboratory tests on biological samples such as blood, tissue, and body fluids, using approved methods, protocols, and laboratory procedures.
  • You will review and interpret test results carefully, making sure the findings are accurate and useful for diagnosis, clinical decisions, or research work.
  • The role also involves following standard operating procedures, quality control requirements, and internal checks to ensure results remain reliable and consistent.
  • As a Clinical Biomedical Scientist, you will record findings clearly and prepare reports for clinicians, researchers, supervisors, or other members of the laboratory team.
  • You will be expected to follow strict laboratory safety guidelines, handle biological materials responsibly, and keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • The Biomedical Laboratory Scientist will work closely with doctors, scientists, and laboratory staff to support clinical testing, research activities, and day-to-day lab operations.
  • You will also keep your knowledge up to date by learning new laboratory techniques, following scientific developments, and improving your technical skills over time.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience performing laboratory analysis in a healthcare, diagnostic, or research setting.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related scientific field.
  • Strong working knowledge of laboratory equipment, diagnostic tools, biological testing methods, and sample handling procedures.
  • Ability to follow process plans, manage test schedules, prioritize work, and meet deadlines accurately.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain results clearly to colleagues and clinical teams.
  • Sound understanding of how laboratory results support diagnosis, patient care, and research objectives.
