Key Responsibilities
- As an Automotive Engineer, you will diagnose complex mechanical and electronic vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools. This includes interpreting technical data, identifying the root cause, and recommending practical fixes that improve performance, reliability, and safety.
- You will design, develop, and test vehicle components and systems to make sure they meet quality, efficiency, safety, and UAE compliance requirements.
- The role also involves working closely with technicians, designers, and cross-functional teams to support production integration and ensure vehicles are ready for smooth operation.
- You will prepare and maintain clear technical documentation, design records, engineering reports, and maintenance history for projects, audits, and compliance purposes.
- As a Vehicle Systems Engineer, you will conduct performance testing under different operating conditions, analyze the results, and suggest improvements that support better design and system performance.
- You will also troubleshoot wiring, electronics, control modules, and system faults by using diagnostic equipment and reading technical schematics accurately.
- In addition, the Automotive Diagnostics Engineer will guide junior technicians, share technical knowledge, and help maintain strong quality standards across the team.
Requirements
- 3 to 7+ years of experience as an Automotive Engineer or in a similar role covering vehicle design, diagnostics, testing, or system development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced technical training will be an added advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, CAD tools, diagnostics, and performance evaluation.
- Ability to manage schedules, testing cycles, documentation, and reports with accuracy and consistency.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and coordinate with engineering stakeholders.
- Sound commercial awareness, including the ability to evaluate cost, safety, and practical engineering decisions that support successful vehicle performance.
