Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily drilling operations, monitor key parameters, and analyze performance data for efficient execution of the well plan.
- Coordinate with staff for the timely completion of assigned tasks, ensuring compliance with company rules, regulations, and best practices.
- All drilling equipment, tools, and materials must be available and arranged properly for running smooth operations without interruptions.
- Prepare accurate drilling reports and documentation by recording daily operations, progress, and results to maintain proper records.
- Collaborate with engineering and geology teams to improve drilling plans, ensure proper well design, and make operations safer and more effective.
- Ensure all drilling activities follow company HSE systems, internal procedures, local laws, and international safety and industry standards for safe offshore operations.
- Identify and resolve drilling problems quickly, apply effective solutions to reduce downtime, and maintain smooth, continuous workflow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of working experience in drilling operations, preferably as a Drilling Engineer.
- Knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and industry standards.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, and problem-solving.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure.
- Understanding of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
