Key Responsibilities
- Evaluates military strategies, assesses potential threats, and provides expert insights to support national security operations. Interpret complex data and geopolitical developments to provide actionable insights.
- Analyse raw defence and security data to identify trends and threats. Produce analytical intelligence products that support defence planning and decision‑making. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and provide timely intelligence insights.
- Work closely with internal defence teams, cybersecurity specialists, and external partners. Provide insights and recommendations to policymakers and military leaders. Prepare analytical reports, briefings, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Assess current defence systems and procedures, gather and examine data from multiple sources (reports, sensors, logs). Extract relevant insights and patterns that impact national or organisational security.
- Support cross‑team initiatives and defence projects to address ongoing strategic needs, identify gaps in intelligence collection and communicate these to field researchers, and develop and test theoretical models for possible defence scenarios.
- Monitor cyber security alerts and events using SIEM tools, up-to-date with developments in military technology and strategy, investigate and document potential security incidents, and assist in generating security reports.
- Reviewing intelligence reports to determine their implications for defence policy, ensuring all the security policies and guidelines are aligned with the UAE’s national security framework. Keep a supportive behaviour with junior analysts or team members.
Requirements
- A candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering (Electrical, Systems, Aerospace), or Data Science / Physics or related field.
- More than 2 years of experience in intelligence roles like Cybersecurity / SOC, Intelligence analysis, Defence systems / IT systems.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and decision-making ability.
- Deep understanding of cyber threats & attack methods, intelligence analysis techniques, defence technologies & systems, geopolitical awareness (Middle East).
- Ability to work in high-pressure and confidential environments, and must have strong ethical standards.
- English vocabulary, both written and verbal, is mandatory, while Familiarity with multiple computing platforms, including Windows, OSX, Linux, and Unix, is essential.
