Aircraft Dispatcher

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely flight support, coordinate with pilots and ground teams, review flight details, and ensure every operation is smooth and safe.
• Analyze and determine routes and flight altitudes for each flight, based on economic, meteorological, safety, legal, and commercial requirements.
• Ensure selection of take-off, destination, en-route, fuel, and Extended Twin Operations (ETOPS) alternate airports for each flight.
• Calculate take-off and landing performance as well as regulated weights for each flight as per legal requirements.
• Prepare and file ATC flight plan for each flight and ensure that the Flight Release and the Computer Flight Plan.
• Manage and avoid potential delays by negotiating airport and airway slots with the respective government agencies worldwide.
• Periodically perform quality checks, briefings, and dispatch services at outstations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in aircraft dispatch, with previous experience in Load control or Airline Operations role.
• Higher School or other diploma completed; additional training in Dangerous Goods or aircraft weight and balance is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills, computer literacy, and fluency in English are required; leadership experience would be advantageous.
• Participation in the Disruption Support Group (DSG) or shadowing a turnaround supervisor during live operations is desirable.
• A strong focus on safety, with comprehensive knowledge of ground operations, has an edge.
• Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to stay calm when working under pressure.
