Key Responsibilities
- Examine specific financial cases that are assigned, and carefully review the company’s or clients’ financial records to spot any mistakes, fraud, or unusual patterns. Trace all the transactions to ensure all activities are legitimate and documented properly.
- Find out the root cause of financial issues, assist in setting up rules, procedures, or systems that stop fraud or errors from happening again.
- Collaborate with legal experts, auditors, and tax teams, support litigation cases, prepare evidence, and sometimes act as an expert witness. Increase impact by identifying new cases that need investigation, carefully checking to detect possible fraud.
- Serve as the main point of contact for people who have questions or want to discuss financial issues, fix important financial problems as soon as possible, and suggest practical and legal solutions to solve the problems.
- Coordinate with your team, support them in their tasks, and make sure everyone is organized and working together. Discuss investigation strategies with team members, share findings with management.
- Organize evidence in an orderly way, track investigation progress, and make sure it stays on schedule. Monitor all money movements carefully and compare them with expected patterns to detect anything unusual.
- Turn complicated financial issues into a clear, understandable report, describe clearly what was discovered, any money lost, and patterns in financial activity. Share the results of your investigation or analysis with company leaders or clients.
Requirements
- 3+ years of overall experience in forensic accounting, auditing, fraud investigations, or financial analysis of the UAE market.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or forensic accounting, plus professional certifications in ACCA, CPA, CFE, or CIA.
- Strong analytical skills in numerical and complex financial data, tracing transactions, and detecting irregularities or fraud.
- Excellent communication skills to deal with clients, build strong business relationships, and deliver reports to the management clearly and accurately.
- Professional behavior to coordinate with team members and understanding of collaborating with cross departments.
- Computer skills in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and similar software applications are essential.
