Key Responsibilities

  • Own assigned corporate matters, build trusted advisory relationships, act as primary legal contact, understand business objectives, anticipate regulatory risks, and ensure delivery of legal services in line with applicable laws, internal governance standards and agreed timelines.
  • Drive value through contract drafting, transaction advisory, corporate structuring and regulatory support, prepare legal opinions, negotiate commercial agreements, and achieve monthly and quarterly matter completion and compliance targets set by management plus legal risk forecasting.
  • Collaborate with finance, HR, compliance and executive teams to translate business requirements into clear legal documentation, track filings and approvals, and ensure timely, accurate execution of agreements and corporate resolutions.
  • Monitor legal exposure, analyse compliance metrics and contractual obligations, prepare weekly and monthly legal status reports with actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders and regulatory trend insights.
  • Manage documentation, due diligence processes and contract lifecycle compliance, track renewal schedules, escalate disputes or breaches, and work with finance to ensure accurate billing, collections and governance coordination.
  • Resolve client or internal escalations promptly, coordinate external counsel where required, propose practical and compliant solutions, document outcomes, and follow up to prevent recurrence and strengthen internal controls and root-cause analysis.
  • Represent the firm at industry forums, attend board and shareholder meetings, support transaction documentation and tender submissions, and build professional networks to strengthen market presence and legal intelligence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years corporate legal experience in UAE markets, preferably within law firms, in-house legal departments or professional services environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; valid practicing certificate and strong knowledge of UAE corporate and commercial regulations preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with legal research platforms, contract management systems and MS Office tools for drafting, documentation and legal reporting skills.
  • Proven matter management controls: handling timelines, due diligence reviews, regulatory filings, board resolutions and cross-functional coordination and risk mitigation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership: mentoring junior associates, leading negotiations and client meetings, and managing small legal teams and performance reviews.
  • Strong commercial acumen: contract negotiation, legal risk assessment, regulatory interpretation, corporate structuring strategies and compliance performance indicators.
