Key Responsibilities

  • Own assigned flight sectors, conduct pre-flight inspections, act as pilot-in-command or first officer as rostered, understand route and weather conditions, anticipate operational risks, and ensure safe delivery of flights to agreed schedules, SOPs and aviation regulations.
  • Drive operational excellence through fuel efficiency optimization, adherence to flight schedules, proactive communication with operations control, accurate logbook completion, and achievement of monthly and quarterly performance targets set by management plus sector forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cabin crew, dispatch, maintenance and ground handling teams to translate flight plans into clear operational actions, monitor aircraft systems, and ensure timely, safe departures and arrivals and regulatory approvals.
  • Monitor aircraft performance, analyse weather updates and operational data, prepare post-flight reports and technical logs with actionable observations for internal stakeholders and safety trend insights.
  • Manage flight documentation, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, track duty hours and rest periods, escalate technical discrepancies, and work with engineering and operations teams to ensure airworthiness compliance and coordination.
  • Resolve in-flight or ground operational escalations promptly, coordinate internal and external aviation resources, apply standard operating procedures, document outcomes, and follow up through safety reporting systems and root-cause analysis.
  • Represent the airline during official briefings, simulator training sessions and regulatory audits, attend crew meetings, support operational reviews, and contribute to strengthening safety culture and competitive operational intelligence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years commercial flying experience with a recognized airline or aviation operator, preferably in regional or international flight operations.
  • Valid ATPL or CPL license with required aircraft type rating; medical Class 1 certification and regulatory approvals as per GCAA or relevant aviation authority.
  • Proficient with flight management systems (FMS), navigation tools, aviation reporting systems and operational documentation platforms.
  • Proven operational controls: managing flight timelines, fuel calculations, risk assessments, emergency procedures and cross-functional coordination with cabin and ground operations and risk mitigation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership: leading cockpit coordination, mentoring junior first officers when assigned as captain, and contributing to crew performance evaluations and safety briefings.
  • Strong professional acumen: decision-making under pressure, regulatory compliance, flight safety management systems, fuel efficiency planning and on-time performance KPIs.
