Key Responsibilities

  • Lead program execution and planning: Direct all phases of defense contract programs from start through completion, ensuring goals and milestones are met with quality.
  • Manage contract compliance: Oversee adherence to contractual terms, defense regulations and reporting standards across all teams and deliverables.
  • Coordinate stakeholders: Work closely with customers, engineering, procurement and operations to align expectations and resolve issues.
  • Track performance metrics: Monitor cost, schedule, risk and technical performance to ensure program health and proactive mitigation.
  • Prepare proposals and documentation: Support proposal development, technical briefs, business plans and regular status reports.
  • Lead cross-functional teams: Guide multidisciplinary staff, contractors and partners to deliver cohesive program outcomes.
  • Assess and improve processes: Identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows and enhance delivery for defense contract programs.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in defense contract or program management with complex project exposure.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Program Management or related discipline.
  • Technical Competence: Skilled in program controls, compliance systems and performance tracking tools.
  • Project Controls: Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, risk and deliverables reliably.
  • Leadership Support: Strong team leadership, communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understand defense procurement, contract terms and financial impacts on deliverables.
