Key Responsibilities

  • Run Molecular Tests: Perform molecular biology assays including PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, and gel electrophoresis reliably.
  • Prepare Samples: Process and prepare biological samples for analysis following lab protocols and quality standards.
  • Analyze Results: Review experimental data, interpret findings accurately, and report outcomes to supervisors.
  • Maintain Lab Equipment: Ensure lab instruments are calibrated, clean, and functioning correctly for accurate testing.
  • Follow Protocols: Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety rules, and quality control measures.
  • Record Data: Keep clear, accurate records of tests, results, and observations in lab systems or notebooks.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with scientists, clinicians, or researchers to support experiments and project goals.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–6 years laboratory experience, ideally with molecular biology techniques in clinical or research labs.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Technical Competence: Skilled with PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, electrophoresis, and lab software.
  • Project Controls: Able to organize experiments, manage time, and meet testing deadlines.
  • Leadership: Good communicator who works effectively within lab teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understand how accurate molecular results support patient care and research goals.
