Key Responsibilities
- Medical Risk Evaluation: Review medical history, reports, and documentation to decide risk levels and policy approval terms clearly and accurately.
- Quote Preparation: Prepare clear medical insurance quotations and comparisons for new and renewal policies on time.
- Policy Terms Setting: Suggest and negotiate policy terms, pricing, benefits, and coverage with insurers and brokers.
- Policy Processing: Issue new policies, work on renewals and endorsements, and manage member additions/deletions smoothly.
- Compliance Checks: Ensure all underwriting actions match company guidelines, UAE regulations, and internal standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with brokers, TPAs, internal teams, and insurers to collect information and share underwriting decisions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records of decisions, risk analyses, and client communications for audit and follow‑up.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 3 years in medical insurance underwriting or related insurance roles in the UAE market.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business or related field.
- Technical: Strong risk assessment, medical underwriting and pricing skills with underwriting tools knowledge.
- Project Controls: Able to manage workload, meet deadlines, and handle multiple underwriting tasks reliably.
- Leadership: Work independently with confidence, guide junior team members, and make sound decisions.
- Commercial Acumen: Good negotiation skills and understanding of insurance products and market price trends.
