Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Design & Drafting – Create and review detailed mechanical layouts, drawings, and specifications using CAD to support project design and approvals.
  • System Installation Oversight – Supervise installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems on site with contractors.
  • Testing & Commissioning Support – Conduct or oversee testing and commissioning of equipment to confirm performance meets project and authority standards.
  • Project Coordination – Work with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to align mechanical work with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Compliance & Authority Approvals – Prepare documentation and ensure mechanical designs and installations comply with Dubai Municipality and other local code requirements.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting – Identify technical issues, recommend practical fixes, and monitor implementation to keep projects on track.
  • Reporting & Documentation – Maintain accurate records of drawings, site reports, inspections, and changes for project tracking.

Requirements

  • Experience – Minimum 3–7 years working on mechanical systems in construction, industrial, or MEP projects.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
  • Technical Competence – Proficiency in AutoCAD, HVAC calculations, and mechanical design standards.
  • Project Controls – Ability to handle schedules, site activities, and work within project deadlines.
  • Leadership – Lead junior engineers and support technicians, ensuring quality and teamwork.
  • Commercial Acumen – Understand project budgets, cost impacts, and scope changes effectively.
