Mechanical (MEP) Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret MEP drawings: Read project drawings and specifications to ensure mechanical system requirements are clear and correct on site.
- Coordinate installation teams: Work with contractors, architects and other engineers to align MEP activities and prevent clashes.
- Supervise mechanical works: Oversee installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire systems and ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
- Ensure codes and safety compliance: Check that all MEP tasks follow UAE building codes, DEWA/DM/DCD rules and safety practices.
- Conduct site inspections: Perform regular inspections, identify technical issues and resolve them quickly with teams.
- Prepare reports and documentation: Record progress, prepare site reports and update project stakeholders clearly.
- Support commissioning and handover: Assist testing, commissioning and final handover of MEP systems to clients.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in MEP engineering, construction or fit‑out roles in UAE preferably.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Technical Competence: Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and mechanical system design tools.
- Project Controls: Ability to track tasks, timelines and deliverables independently.
- Leadership Support: Proven coordination and team collaboration on multidisciplinary projects.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand cost implications, equipment selection and value engineering basics.
