Key Responsibilities
- Collect and handle samples safely from patients, label correctly, and prepare for testing in line with lab procedures and safety rules.
- Perform routine tests in areas like haematology, microbiology, biochemistry and immunology using standard lab equipment and methods.
- Operate and maintain equipment properly, ensuring calibration, cleanliness and readiness for daily lab work.
- Record results accurately in lab systems and report findings to supervisors for review and clinical use.
- Observe safety and quality protocols, including infection control, waste disposal and PPE use at all times.
- Support team tasks by assisting technologists, organizing work areas, and collaborating with clinical staff.
- Follow regulatory requirements and best practices for documentation, compliance and professional conduct.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical lab work after qualification.
- Technical Competence: Skilled in sample testing, lab tools, safety, and basic troubleshooting.
