Key Responsibilities
- Develop Risk Frameworks: Build and maintain enterprise risk management frameworks and policies to guide risk identification and control across the organisation.
- Identify & Assess Risks: Conduct regular risk assessments, update risk registers, and analyse risk impact on business operations and strategy.
- Monitor Risk Indicators: Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging trends to alert leadership to risks needing mitigation.
- Prepare Risk Reports: Produce clear risk reports for senior management and boards, summarising exposures, trends, and mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with compliance, audit, finance, and operations to embed risk awareness and support mitigation actions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure risk practices align with UAE regulatory requirements (e.g., Central Bank, DFSA) and internal policies.
- Business Continuity Planning: Support business continuity and crisis response planning to reduce impact of risk events on operations.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–10 years in risk management in finance, corporate, or regulated environments in UAE or GCC.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field; risk certification preferred.
- Technical Competence: Strong understanding of risk assessment tools, dashboards, and regulatory frameworks in UAE.
- Project Controls: Ability to manage risk schedules, reporting timelines, and risk mitigation implementation reliably.
- Leadership: Confident communicator with experience guiding cross‑functional teams on risk issues.
