Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structures: Prepare and review structural designs, calculations and drawings for buildings, bridges and infrastructure to meet safety and code standards.
- Ensure code compliance: Apply Dubai Municipality and UAE regulations, plus international standards like ACI, ASTM or ASCE to all work.
- Supervise construction works: Monitor site installation, inspect structural elements and verify quality against approved plans.
- Coordinate with teams: Work with architects, MEP engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and integrate designs.
- Prepare technical documentation: Produce reports, structural calculations, method statements and material submittals for approval.
- Conduct site visits: Visit project sites regularly to check progress, safety compliance and address structural concerns.
- Support project delivery: Track deliverables, report status to managers, assist with inspections and authority submissions.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–10+ years in structural engineering with design and site supervision in UAE or GCC projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Technical Competence: Skilled in ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit and structural analysis tools.
- Project Controls: Ability to monitor schedules, report progress and deliver quality outputs on time.
- Leadership Support: Experience guiding junior engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand project cost impacts, material use and practical engineering trade-offs.
