Key Responsibilities
- Plan Well Drilling: Develop, review, and prepare detailed drilling programs to meet operational objectives and technical standards for each well.
- Supervise Operations: Coordinate rig activities onsite, monitor drilling progress, and direct adjustments for efficiency and safety.
- HSE Compliance: Ensure all drilling work fully follows health, safety, and environmental rules at all times.
- Cost & Schedule Control: Track drilling costs, schedule performance, and help optimize budgets and resources.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to rig crew and engineers on technical challenges and rig issues.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare clear drilling reports, after‑action reviews, and operation summaries.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with reservoir, production, and operations teams to align drilling plans with field goals.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–8 years of drilling or well operations experience in oil/gas environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- Technical Competence: Strong knowledge of drilling systems, well design, and well control standards.
- Project Controls: Able to plan, manage costs, schedules, and make recommendations for drilling tasks.
- Leadership: Can lead drilling tasks, coordinate teams, and communicate clearly across functions.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand impact of drilling decisions on cost, outcomes, and operational risk.
