Key Responsibilities
- Design Control Systems: Develop and design control logic and architecture for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems that support operational automation.
- Project Coordination: Work with project teams and vendors to ensure control system engineering aligns with project requirements and schedules.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical specifications, functional diagrams, and engineering documents for control system implementation.
- Testing & Commissioning: Support factory and site acceptance tests, loop checks, and system commissioning to ensure correct installation.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve control system issues during integration, operation, and upgrades.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure systems comply with industry standards, safety practices, and quality expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing control systems for performance improvements and recommend upgrades based on technology trends.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–10+ years in control systems engineering, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, or automation projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or related Engineering field.
- Technical Competence: Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, industrial protocols and control logic design.
- Project Controls: Able to plan, organize and deliver control engineering tasks on schedule.
- Leadership: Effective communicator who works well with vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand project budgets, resource needs, and value of robust control solutions.
