Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned aircraft and maintenance tasks: perform pre-flight/line maintenance, defect rectification, scheduled checks and technical inspections; act as the primary technical contact for assigned flights and crews and ensure work is completed to approved procedures and timelines.
- Perform fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance: use troubleshooting logic, schematics and on-wing tests to isolate faults, carry out repairs or coordinate component removals/replacements, and verify system functionality before release-to-service.
- Execute scheduled maintenance and modifications: follow maintenance program tasks, perform A and C check support as required, implement approved modifications and service bulletins, and update maintenance plans with engineering input.
- Maintain technical records and returns-to-service: complete logbooks, e-technical records and MEL/CDL entries accurately. Raise work orders, record part serials and sign off releases in accordance with regulatory and operator procedures.
- Coordinate spares and procurement: raise parts requests, liaise with supply chain and stores to prioritise critical components, advise on rotables/consumables and support inventory optimization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality: apply airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs) and company procedures; participate in internal audits, support external authority inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Support safety and continuous improvement: report safety occurrences, contribute to root-cause analyses, suggest reliability improvements, and help refine maintenance processes and training.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ aircraft maintenance experience in line or base roles on commercial narrow-body types (e.g., A320/B737 families) with evidence of progressive technical responsibility.
- Valid aircraft maintenance licence—EASA Part-66 B1/B2, FAA A&P or General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) AME equivalent—with relevant category endorsements for the aircraft types listed.
- Diploma or degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering, or recognised technical apprenticeship; continuing airworthiness training and type-rating courses preferred.
- Proficient with maintenance tracking and planning systems (AMOS, CAMP, TRAX or similar), and competent with digital technical publications, troubleshooting manuals, and MS Excel for basic reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, attention to detail in documentation, and ability to work under operational pressure with a safety-first mindset.
- Good communication in English (spoken and written); teamwork skills and experience coordinating across flight ops, supply and engineering; willingness to work shifts and be on-call for operational rotations.
